For Grande Surfing

A prestine, white sandy beach with some of the best surfing in Costa Rica.

Playa Grande is part of a sanctuary where Giant Leatherback turtles come to lay their eggs on the beach each year, fro October to March. It is also a favored surfing area, just north of the big surf town, Tamarindo. Playa Grande is just starting to grow as the government finalizes the development rules, which will protect the turtles.

There are homes and home sites available steps from the beach, nestled under the shade trees, near the estuary,  and in the hillsides overlooking the beach.
